Last week I polled my paid subscribers to see if they wanted a series on biblical hermeneutics (a fancy word for interpretation) or mutuality in marriage (as opposed to the traditional view of male/female hierarchy) and it was a tie. That means I had to make the decision, which (ironically) was the very thing I was attempting to avoid with the poll. 🤷♀️ I went with hermeneutics because it’s going to help us out when we do the class on gender mutuality. For those who voted for the latter, I sincerely appreciate your thirst for controversy. 😜 We’ll get there, I promise.
Hermeneutics sounds painful, hence the very important “not-boring” qualifier in the subtitle. The truth is, hermeneutics has changed my life. It constantly invigorates my love for the Bible and fuels an ever deepening hunger to keep learning. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’m over-the-top THRILLED to offer this 4-part class to my paid subscribers. I’ve provided a little preview below. The full recording of “Part 1” as well as a link to download the series handout is behind the paywall. If you’d like access, you can become a paid subscriber for the low, low price of one latte a month (imagine I’m saying that in a perfect infomercial spokesperson voice 😂). It’s a great way to help me cover ministry costs and support the work that I do here. If you can’t swing it right now, don’t worry, I’ll keep posting plenty of goodies for free!
